âWith Name, Image, and Likeness, student-athlete opportunities are enhancing personal brands while introducing contracts and sponsorships that can be challenging to understand in this landscape. Educating staff/athletes/coaches and building supporting systems—such as directories, platforms, and resources—ensures they can maximize opportunities safely and effectively.
â
With being one of the first NCAA, Division 1 Universities across the US to hire an NIL team, my role within the UW Athletic Department included work of informational graphics, research and education posted to social media platforms, emails, and websites.ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ

ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââI designed and launched the first website to provide essential resources and guidance on Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) initiatives for student-athletes.
To further strengthen connections between athletes and organizations, I created a NIL directory, giving companies easy access to a centralized listing of all University of Washington student-athletes, creating more efficient partnership and effective means of communication.

ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââMuch of the work done behind the scenes included NIL research and organization as the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington provides a credited course (also offered through UW's program, Boundless Futures), that covers NIL topics such as personal brand development, finance, entrepreneurship and opportunity evaluation.
â
Boundless Futures is a personal, professional and leadership development curriculum, designed to help UW student-athletes capitalize on NIL rules changes.â
